It is generally agreed that the Fender 5E3 tube amp is the "holy grail" of sounds. These amps are sought after,
fought over, collected and recorded with. Most of us could never afford one or justify spending that kind of money.
But what if we could sort of "bottle" that sound, and put it in a pedal that could take an ordinary tube amp and give
it that Fender 5E3 sound? The youtube clip is through and very ordinary, unmodified Epiphone Valve Junior. Good
little amp, I love mine, but on it's own not in the range of a vintage Fender Champ. Listen to it with the pedal.
This pedal transforms ordinary tube amps into something special.
The DenTone 5E3 represents years of experimentation. Every part is hand chosen to make each individual pedal as
live, as organic, as sparkly as it can be. There is a lot of gain in this pedal. Turn the knob up and listen to
the crunch from a relatively low volume amp. Quiet enough to record with.
Each pedal is signed, dated and numbered. Each is built by hand one at a time. True bypass of course.
All point to point, no printed circuit boards are used, ever.
